About the Boyertown Community Ambulance Service

The Boyertown Community Ambulance Service has been serving the community since 1941. While times have changed, two things have remained constant; the pride of the organization, and the dedication in providing the best possible pre-hospital care for the community and surrounding areas.

Today, the Ambulance Service provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) services to the Borough of Boyertown, Colebrookdale Township, and the majority of both Douglass and Earl Townships. In addition, the organization assists neighboring communities such as the Boroughs of Bally and Bechtelsville, and Washington, Pike, District, Douglass-Montgomery, Amity, and Oley Townships.

Boyertown Community Ambulance currently holds a roster of approximately 30 employees, including Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, Pre-Hospital RNs and Emergency Medical Responders. The Ambulance Service is also led by a progressive management team consisting of a Board of Directors and an EMS Chief.  Being an ALS service, Boyertown Ambulance also has a Medical Director, Dr. Jeffrey Gesell, who is based out of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Boyertown Ambulance is also proud to host an active Venturer Post for young men and women ages 14 to 21 who have an interest in the medical field and in EMS. For more information on the Venturer Post, please click on the Venturer Post link to the left.

As technology and training continue to advance, people within the community may rest easy knowing that the Boyertown Community Ambulance Service will continue to work hard to provide the best possible care to its residents and visitors.
